lawlz @ people comparing being Irish to being black. As a white person who has been seriously poor (like, 50+ hour work weeks making far less than minimum wage poor), I can still acknowledge that there is definitely white privilege in the US, and that it's much easier to move up the economic ladder so to speak, even as a female.
I guess there's always the truly legitimate concern that affirmative action will let PoC take over our universities. We really need more generic vaguely european college students with mommy and daddy paying their tuition because, you know, this country isn't already saturated with worthless business and communications majors.
